Before embarking on our CDL pre-apprenticeship program, participants are required to complete our comprehensive Driver Readiness Workshop. This workshop is designed to equip individuals with the essential knowledge and skills needed to kickstart their journey towards a successful career in commercial driving.

Module1: Introduction to CDL Pre-Apprenticeship Program (30 minutes) In this module, participants will receive an overview of our CDL Pre-Apprenticeship Program, including its benefits, opportunities, and expectations.

Module 2: Understanding the Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) (1 hour) Participants will learn the significance of obtaining a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), along with the necessary steps to obtain it.

​

Module 3: Required Documentation for CLP (1.5 hours) This module covers the documentation needed for obtaining a CLP, including how to obtain each document and the importance of accuracy and validity.

​

Module 4: Application Process for CLP (1 hour) Participants will learn where and how to apply for a CLP, fill out the application form, and understand associated fees and payment instructions.

​

Module 5: Preparing for the CLP Test (2 hours) An overview of the CLP test will be provided, along with study materials, resources, and test-taking strategies.

​

Module 6: Q&A and Wrap-up (30 minutes) The workshop concludes with a Q&A session to address any remaining questions or concerns, followed by a recap of the workshop and guidance on next steps.

After completing the Driver Readiness Workshop, participants will be well-prepared to commence our CDL pre-apprenticeship program and pursue a range of exciting career opportunities in the transportation industry.
