Our Programs

Before an inmate is accepted into any of our programs, they must undergo an offender risk and needs assessment, along with residential mental health treatment if needed. The PATTERN tool (Prisoner Assessment Tool Targeting Estimated Risk and Need) results will be a major factor in determining which individuals will be selected for one of our programs. By doing this, we hope to identify those inmates who will be best suited to take advantage of our services.

Individuals within 6 months of release are eligible to sign up for the program. We will work with prison counselors to identify the individuals eligible to participate.

In addition, we also understand the difficulties individuals face when trying to obtain identification documents, such as IDs and driver licenses after their release. Our goal is to work with the Bureau of Prisons to ensure that everyone accepted into our program has access to their local DMV to obtain these documents. Our assistance will include driver training and transportation to and from the DMV to ensure they obtain their driver license prior to entering our programs.

The transition from military to civilian life can be challenging for some veterans. While most say readjusting to civilian life was very or somewhat easy, roughly one-i n-four say it was at least somewhat difficult.
